Mt. Pleasant Homecoming 2009
Rev. Cecil Williamson is a dear friend who was the preacher when I was saved in 1970 while attending Holmes Junior College. He performed our wedding ceremony in 1972 and has shared in the baptism and wedding ceremonies of our children. Carol and I traveled with Cecil for 15 months in his ministry of evangelism between our college and seminary days. Here he is preaching the Homecoming this past Sunday at Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church.

Mt. Pleasant Homecoming 2007
Homecoming 2007 was a banner day for the Body of Christ named Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church on the Tremont Charge in Itawamba County of the Tupelo District and the Mississippi Conference. The Homecoming experience was heightened this year by it being the inaugural service in our brand new sanctuary. You will see in the pictures that every seat in the new sanctuary was filled. Praise the Lord! The service was filled with praise to God for His faithfulness to the people of God called Mt. Pleasant. What a wonderful way to begin a new era for our church!
All went well until near the end of the worship service when the power went off due to a faulty transformer connecting the new church building. We completed the service by candlelight and opening a few doors to the near 100 degree temperature out doors.
